Modeled by Nellie, this set features a 3/4-length-sleeve blouse with a brown, green, blue, and tan paisley print, fitted neckline, rounded hem, velcro closure, and a decorative button sewn onto the front. This beautiful top pairs nicely with the coordinating brown corduroy fabric with rhinestones, and can be worn with either the baggy pants with elastic waistband, or the adorable jumper with velcro closure and a matching button sewn onto the bodice front. For cooler days, there is a matching jacket with a collar and three matching decorative buttons down the front. The jacket comes with a matching waist tie (which you could also repurpose into a headband!) and finally, a cute and functional purse that can be worn off shoulder or as a crossbody. Kathleen (Kathi) Saviak was a beloved mom, grandmother, sister, and friend. Kathi grew up in Miami where she developed a passion and talent for sewing. She continued pursuing her interests working at a fabric store for many years. Kathi eventually discovered a love of creating doll clothes; and she sewed many beautiful outfits for her granddaughter. Even after her granddaughter outgrew dolls, Kathi continued with this hobby to keep herself busy when health issues made other activities more difficult. Kathi loved coordinating fabrics to make the perfect outfit.
When Kathi passed away in 2018, she left behind her large collection of doll clothes, each item made with so much love and stored with great care. More than five years later, Kathi’s daughter, Alleen, decided it was time to part with the collection and pass on her mother’s creations to the next generation of doll lovers. We at Sew Stellar Styles were honored when Alleen reached out to us, and we are humbled to play a role in helping her sell the clothes.
