Modeled by Nanea, this fun and vibrant outfit offers so much flexibility with wear options, and features lime green and hot pink fabric with black trim and zebra print accents. The sleeveless dress has decorative buttons on the front with an "overalls" style look, plus pretty ruffles at the bottom of the skirt. The dress features a velcro closure in the back. Wear the top as an undershirt with the coordinating slacks OR repurpose the top as a jacket to be worn over the dress, open or closed with the faux-button closure. (There is secretly velcro underneath for easy on/off for younger children!) You can even wear the top and slacks alone without the dress OR even better, put that outfit on one doll and the dress on another for coordinated fun across friends! The set is made complete with the adorable matching sunhat. Like a zebra's stripes, this outfit is one-of-a-kind - grab it before it's gone!
Kathleen (Kathi) Saviak was a beloved mom, grandmother, sister, and friend. Kathi grew up in Miami where she developed a passion and talent for sewing. She continued pursuing her interests working at a fabric store for many years. Kathi eventually discovered a love of creating doll clothes; and she sewed many beautiful outfits for her granddaughter. Even after her granddaughter outgrew dolls, Kathi continued with this hobby to keep herself busy when health issues made other activities more difficult. Kathi loved coordinating fabrics to make the perfect outfit.
When Kathi passed away in 2018, she left behind her large collection of doll clothes, each item made with so much love and stored with great care. More than five years later, Kathi’s daughter, Alleen, decided it was time to part with the collection and pass on her mother’s creations to the next generation of doll lovers. We at Sew Stellar Styles were honored when Alleen reached out to us, and we are humbled to play a role in helping her sell the clothes.
It brings great comfort to know that Kathi’s legacy will live on, and her creations will be loved for many more years to come. By purchasing an item made by Kathi, you, too, are helping to honor her legacy.
